Research Associate Funded studentship for a research project in Occupational Health Psychology. The main focus of the research was to identify psychosocial factors that influence employee resilience. I planned and carried out 4 studies using a variety of research techniques.

University of Bath, Psychology Department Bath, UK June 2015 Research Consultant I was commissioned to conduct a literature review on News Reading Habits for an external research body. I produced a final report of the summarised literature and collaborated with the research team using the literature I gathered to inform the ongoing research and data collection methods.

Research Advisor I supported the Health at Work team at BCC with my research knowledge. I was responsible for providing advice on useful employee health surveys BCC could utilize or suggestions on ways to improve existing questionnaires. I conducted literature reviews regarding a variety of health issues at work. I also led improvements on the types of data collected relating to employee health outcomes by providing advice on more useful health indicators. Finally, I worked closely with the Health at work team on my PhD research. I translated and reported my results to inform key stakeholders in the organization; this was done in report writing format and presenting my work to HR, trade union members and Public Health consultants.

Research Assistant at Boston Children’s Hospital I was involved in implementing and evaluating an evidence-based approach which aims to promote resilience in at-risk children. Primarily I was responsible for data collection and handling and I conducted statistical analysis on quantitative data as well as transcribing and analysing qualitative data. I assisted in producing quarterly reports to summaries the effectiveness of interventions on several outcome measures including, physical health, academic achievement and social, emotional and cognitive functioning. I also undertook additional duties, including conducting extensive literature reviews, developing coding measures and designing questionnaires and surveys. In addition to research duties, I also assisted a forensic mental health clinician in facilitating client contact sessions and conducting psychological assessment.
